Raphael Wressnig, one of the world’s foremost Hammond B-3 organists, returns with Committed, a vibrant and dynamic new album that reaffirms his dedication to the timeless sound of the Hammond organ. Known for his mastery of this iconic instrument, Wressnig blends vintage tones with contemporary energy to create an irresistibly groovy sound that draws from soul, blues, jazz, R&B, and funk.

The album features a trio in peak form, with Wressnig joined by long-time collaborators Enrico Crivellaro on guitar and Hans-Jürgen Bart on drums. One of the most personal moments on Committed is “Pilgrimage,” a tribute to Dr. Lonnie Smith. Originally recorded by Dr. Lonnie Smith on Wressnig’s own Hammond organ for his live album The Healer, Wressnig now offers his own take on the tune, bringing this full-circle connection to life. Closing the album is a soulful take on the gospel classic “I Shall Not Be Moved,” bringing a modern energy to the Hammond’s gospel roots.
