Wolfgang Lackerschmid is a multi-awarded German jazz musician, bandleader and composer. His main instrument is the vibraphone, but he also plays many other percussion instruments. Lackerschmid grew up in Ehingen and now lives in Augsburg, where he operates a recording studio.
In 1976 he founded the Mallet Connection that accompanied guest solists like Bob Degen, Heinz Sauer or Uli Beckerhoff. In 1978 the group consisting of Leszek Zadlo, Rocky Knauer and Janusz Stefanski as well as Herbert Joos as guest released this album.
